And what about the candy? I am really not a fan of majority of "junk" food that the kids are given at Halloween mainly due to sugar content and GMO ingredients in them. And since our kids only want to go Trick o' Treating to few houses (maybe 25 houses in total) we have a solution. We only take them to few houses for the fun of having the experience and then we take their candy and substitute them with healthier choices. This year they got some organic jelly beans (and yes, I know that there is still sugar in these) and organic chocolate pieces. And what do we do with all the other candy? I have to confess that I do have few of them (and then feel sorry that I even had few) and Daddy takes the rest to work with him. Don't ask me why he still eats them. Before I go into the details about some good things that are happening, here are some pictures of the Monkeys for Halloween.

I really dislike feeling sorry for myself, but with all these unforeseen things happening lately I was really thinking that someone out there was out to make my life miserable. But during all this time I was forgetting my most important motto; everything happens for a reason! Sometimes I am just blinded by self-pity enough to loose sight of what it is that I am learning or gaining from it. I was so very upset at the dishwasher being broken, but we found a wonderful repairman that fixed it for us and gave me some great tips on how to keep my dishwasher running smoothly. The dishwasher now cleans better than it had in months! And my dishes come out super clean! Daddy's truck accident was a little scary but he ended up getting a new (used) truck that he likes much better. So there was a positive to it. On the other exciting news, i went to see the midwife today and it turned out to be a wonderful visit. I am measuring 37 weeks (so a bit of a jump from measuring a week behind), and the baby is looking great. He was very active today. My hemoglobin test came back normal and I the midwife gave me a GBS swab to do at home and drop off at the lab. Hopefully I will be negative for Group B Strep and I won't have to worry about antibiotics in labor.
We discussed homebirth and I got my supply list plus I bought a homebirth kit from the midwives' office. It includes things like the disposable blue mats, and postpartum sanitary pads, and peri bottle, and baby hat, and instant cold compress. I also gave the midwife directions to my house and my next visit is going to be a home visit. I am getting very excited. It's really getting close to this little boy arriving. I only have to hold off one more week and then I am considered "full term" and I can give birth at home.
